Marlin is a Swiss singer-songwriter with roots in Guinea and Hungary, crafting soulful music at the crossroads of R&B, neo-soul, and pop. Raised on the sounds of Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, and Bob Marley, she began writing lyrics and performing as a teenager and soon decided to pursue a career as a singer.
In 2019, she released her first EP 688 as part of the duo Øzyah with her longtime friend and producer Gabiga. Marlin stepped into her solo career with her debut single More in 2022. Her honest songwriting and authentic sound quickly earned her airplay on SRF 3 SRF Virus Couleur 3 RTS La 1ère and Global Soul Radio.
In 2024, Marlin was selected for the Mountain Academy at Zermatt Unplugged and the prestigious Montreux Jazz Residency. In summer 2025, she performed at Montreux Jazz Festival and Moon & Stars Locarno.
Her debut EP New Her reflects on a toxic relationship and her journey back to herself. The project earned her the title of SRF 3 Best Talent in April 2025.
With her new EP Side Effects, Marlin opens a new chapter following New Her. The songs tell the story of falling in love, of the lightness that comes with opening up, but also of how old patterns sometimes resurface. Musically, the EP moves between R&B and pop, inspired by artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Childish Gambino, and Bruno Mars. She's delivering the soundtrack for everyone who believes in a healthy form of love.
